Ironborn, #Darebee Challenges x2 & Unoff. Hammer Curl Challenge ~ Days 4 & 5

Ironborn Program

Day 4: abs ~ set of each exercise with 30sec rest between each set — I used a 20lb dumbbell with the sitting twists, I doubled all reps for all exercises, and I used 2lb ankle weights on both the leg raises and flutter kicks. I will likely continuing do this for each ab day as it makes it more challenging.

Day 5: shoulders, chest & triceps ~ 4 sets of each exercise with 30sec rest between each set — I used 25lb dummbbells for the arnold press and the triceps extensions (25lb each side), I used 15lb dumbbells for the lat arm raises, and I did the push-ups to failure each set (25/15/15/13). Doing the push-ups right after the arnold press sets with 30sec rest between was tough!!

Makeover Challenge

Day 4 ~ 10 flutter kicks/4 sets — did all sets in one go and with 2lb ankle weights

Day 5 ~ 30sec high knees + 30sec march steps (no rest)/5 sets

Burpee Challenge

Day 4 ~ 30sec push-up plank/2 sets — did the full 60secs in one shot

Day 5 ~ 25 burpees (20/5)

Unofficial Hammer Curl Challenge

Day 4 ~ 10 hammer curls (active rest day) — one set with 25lb dumbbells

Day 5 ~ 22 hammer curls — two sets of 11reps with 25lb dumbbells

Military Fit Plus ~ D17-25 + Cardio Blast Challenge ~ D18-26

Military Fit Plus Program

Day 17: Full Circuit ~ all levels 3 sets/no rest between sets — *30 seconds side to side hops after each exercise*

Day 18: Power Circuit ~ Level 3/7 sets — used 20# dumbbells for everything except the punches I used 15# dumbbells for those and I did the push-up planks to failure for the first two reps.

Day 19: Power Circuit ~
Level 3/7 sets *1min high knees at the start of each set* — I did the full planks and L-sit to failure each set

Day 20: Trials ~ I hit the target for high knees: 10 minutes non-stop. The target for push-ups I surpassed for a total of 110reps in two minutes. The rep to time looked like this: 48secs = 50reps, 1:11 = 70reps, 1:35 = 90reps, & 2:00 = 110reps. And I hit 79reps for sit-ups in two minutes. I was soooo close to hitting the target amount which was 80-100reps.

Day 21: Power Circuit ~ Level 3/7 sets — I used 25# dumbbells on the bicep curls and press, 15# dumbbells on the lat. raises, and 50# dumbbell for the triceps extensions

Day 22: 8-Count ~ Level 3/50reps — this was a little awkward at the beginning, but once I got my groove it went by very quickly.

Day 23: Speed & Stealth ~ Level 3/7 sets — quick and easy, a nice break with all the burpees I had to do today.

Day 24: Century Round ~ all levels 100reps each — I did everything in either one or two sets.

Day 25: A Cup of Tea ~ Level 3/10 sets — a fun workout with the sandbag (35lb), but I slowly started running out of steam at the sixth set and was moving very slowly come the tenth set.

Military Fit Plus & Cardio Blast ~ D11 & 12 + Fitness Advent ~ Done! + Fit Xmas D1-3

Military Fit Plus Program

Day 11 ~ Level 3/7 sets (sandbag workout) — a tiring workout with those holds as every third exercise and to failure as well. I almost gave up at Level 2 (5 sets), but I quickly jumped into the sixth set after that and just got it done quick like. Completely pooped afterwards!

Day 12: Conditioning ~ Level 3/7 sets — this looked more tiring on paper than it actually ended up being, but don’t get me wrong it was still tough. Lots of jumping and constant movement going on, my legs are feeling a touch sore this evening. I did the jump squats and first set of jump knee tucks to failure each set, but not the last set of tucks. I just couldn’t make my legs push further than what was required at the end of whole set.

Cardio Blast Challenge

Day 11 ~ 300 jumping jacks (1 set)

Day 12 ~ 160 high knees (1 set)

Day 2 ~ Level 3/60 reps each ~ squats (30/30 with sandbag) + lunges (30/30 with sandbag) + side leg raises (1 set) + push-ups (50/10)

Day 3 ~ 400 flutter kicks (200/100/100)

Military Fit Plus, Fitness Advent, & Cardio Blast Challenge ~ Days 5 & 6

Military Fit Plus Program

Day 5 ~ Level 3/7 sets — I skipped the push-up plank to failure this time around because of time. I used 20lb dumbbells for the curls and 10lb dumbbells for the overhead punches and punches.

Day 6 ~ Level 3/7 sets — I opted against the sit-ups to failure as that would have been over 300reps each time (O_o) and that’s way too time consuming! I did do the leg raises and hundreds to failure each set though and I used a 20lb dumbbell for the sitting twists.

Cardio Blast Challenge

Day 5 ~ 150 jumping jacks (1 set)

Posture & Super Saiyan Challenges ~ Day 30 + #66 ~ DONE!

Posture Challenge

Day 30 ~ 54 micro expansions/3 sets

Super Saiyan Challenge

Day 30 ~ 350 sit-ups (100/100/100/50) + 800 squats (200 split/150 basic/100 shrimp/150 sumo/50 jump/100 plie/50 pistol) — I liked doing the crazy amount of push-ups and squats for this challenge, but the high sit-up reps became the part I didn’t like much at all.

With this day it finishes up #66 on my Bucketlist as well 😀

Posture & Super Saiyan Challenges ~ Day 28

Posture Challenge

Day 28 ~ 53 micro expansions/3 sets — feels sooooo good!

Super Saiyan Challenge

Day 28 ~ 320 sit-ups (110/110/100) + 750 squats (150 sumo/150 split/150 basic/100 single leg/100 plie/100 shrimp/100 jump) — I’m ready to be done with the high reps of sit-ups… they are so boring! I know I will miss the squats once this challenge is over, which is not something I ever expected to say.

Posture & Super Saiyan Challenges ~ Days 26 & 27

Posture Challenge

Day 26 ~ 50 micro expansions/3 sets

Day 27 ~ 42 side bends x2

Super Saiyan Challenge

Day 26 ~ 300 sit-ups (1 set) + 700 squats (150 basic/100 shrimp/150 sumo/100 split/100 plie/100 single leg) — I hadn’t done 300 sit-ups in a row in a few months and I was curious if I could still do it or not. I can, but I definitely didn’t enjoy it… and it was so time-consuming!

Day 27 ~ 300 push-ups (50 classic/50 staggered/50 decline/50 triangle/25 accordion/50 wide grip/25 cross body) + 1800 punches (600/600/600)
