Done yesterday but had some computer issues (that are continuing into today -_-) so posting it now and today’s post is still to before the end of the day!
Day 3 – November 7th, 2017
Well my workout was tough this morning because it was so dang cold and getting my daily workout done first thing is not easy either! My preference when exercising is being barefoot (honestly I’m like this all the time cause I hate socks!) so my toes were little, sore icicles before I even hit the halfway mark. I am very thankful for slippers today 😛
And it was lower body for Day 2 in the Mutation Split and I didn’t completely hate it. Leg day is not remotely close to being my favourite muscle group to work, but I don’t slack on it anymore either.
On a great side to this my push-up numbers are improving almost weekly now *fist pump* I’m doing a set rep amount daily and it’s increased every week by 2reps/day. So last week it was 78reps/day and this week is 80reps/day and I’m attributing my progress across several push-up variations to this regular activity. Of course it’s something put together via The Hive and the forum topic can be found here. We call ourselves The Pushers!

Day 51 ~ June 18th, 2017
It seems so strange to not be doing any Math during some of my free time on a Sunday… It’s awesome, but odd as I got into such a routine with it for nearly 6 months. So, so glad to be finished the course and I’m curious what my final grade for it is, but I won’t know that until I get my updated transcript in the mail in July most likely. I know I passed at least so that’s really all that matters and I don’t need to do anymore either *fist pump*
Lots of brainstorming/mulling over going on the last few weeks in regards to some new fitness goals. I achieved all my previous ones between last year and this year so I needed to get some new targets going to help me stay motivated.
I’ve decided to start working towards doing 100 push-ups in a row. Right now my max is 56 so I’ve got a way to go, but I enjoy push-ups and with a good, consistent plan I should be able to do it. I still plan to work at being able to do a front lever and a planche, I just won’t be super focused on them over the summer I don’t think.
Over the summer I will be mostly focused on running, try to get faster still, lots of leg & ab work, and still some weights as well. I want to be able to do 10 perfect pistol squats on each leg so hence the frequent leg work basically every other day.
Day 43 ~ April 15th, 2017
Ugh! It’s been a month since I last posted… >_> It’s difficult to do everything I want on the computer because I just can’t sit still for that long (even while typing this up I got up a handful of times to do something else, or push-ups) and I typically talk myself into doing Math, which is what I should be doing anyway. I hate how time-consuming, and boring, Pre-Calc 11 is! Thankfully I only have three Units and the Final left to do and then it’s done. Plus, it’ll be finished up well before the set end date for the course too.
I had my first race two weeks ago on the Westside and I think I will do a short post about that after I do this one. So more on that later!
I finished up three weeks of a body weight workout via a Hive member on Darebee yesterday and I loved it. There is a lot of room for progression strength-wise that I find extremely appealing and they are fairly quick workouts too. The idea behind it is something that I will re-visit in the future for sure. Next up is a 5 Day Split via another Hive member, called Iron Mode, and that starts this Monday. While I enjoy body weight workouts, I was definitely starting to miss tossing around the dumbbells so this will sate that desire for the next four weeks.
Two other things that I am going to focus on probably twice a week are holding a front lever and a planche. I am further along with the planche than I thought I would be, but not there yet. Front lever I am not close at all yet… I get to an advanced tuck and attempt to move to a single leg and I just drop down. So, hopefully lots of progress to happen over the next few months and my goal now is to be able to do these consistently by the end of 2017. Here’s hoping I can make it happen! 😀
Things that I am grateful for/about today:
~ creating some new fitness goals
~ getting out for a bike ride
~ my raspberry plant survived the transplant!
~ putting on good weight (muscle)
~ got my son’s passport photos done this week
Cheers ~ ✌
Day 32 ~ February 23rd, 2017
-_- … I’ve not done much on my computer lately other than Pre-Calc so basically all the regular stuff that I do has fallen to the wayside. It’s taking up way more time than I anticipated and it sucks. I’ll get something of a reprieve over spring break in about two weeks because the school will be closed so I can take my time moving through the units. I’m already starting on the Mid-Term review so I don’t need to worry about falling behind in the course either.
Not much else to say as my days are kind of blurred together they are so similar the last couple of weeks!
Things that I am grateful for/about today:
~ A lovely stranger helping me out with the electronic parking meter as I’d never used one before today. And they had amazing manners, which is a rarity these days!
~ Beautiful, warm spring-like weather ❤
~ Picking up another daily push-up challenge/activity. This one will focus on harder variations *rubs hands together in glee*
~ BTS (방탄소년단) Comeback *happy dancing* All of the awesome sauce!
Not Today – often the first song I put on in my car since it came out 🐱
Cheers ~ ✌
Day 28 ~ January 31st, 2017
I spent the morning out doing errands and getting a test done at school. I did really well on it, but I expected that to happen as I did well on the hand-in and all the practice assignments. I hope the next unit isn’t to difficult to understand, it’s about Rational Expressions I think. I can’t seem to recall anything about it from the review course(s) last year though…. *Fingers crossed*
I am up to 1,034 of 20,017 for the annual push-ups as of today. I did dragon, triangle, archer, cross body, and raised leg variations this afternoon. And I am really sore tonight as I’ve done just over 600reps over the last two days. I think I am still actually behind by about 700reps(-ish) still to finish on time if I eventually want to just do a set amount of 50-60reps a day. If I continue with the high rep volume I won’t stay behind, but it does mean that I am extra sore at least every other day!
Tomorrow I start two Darebee programs, another 30-day Yoga on YouTube with a couple of members from The Hive 😀 , and the monthly challenge from Darebee as well. It’s going to be a fun month!!
And well I am actually super sleepy now so going to head to bed and here’s hoping I get a decent night’s sleep!
Things I am grateful for today:
~ doing great on my Unit 2 math test
~ signing the paperwork for Respite for my son this morning
~ driving on the highway is getting less stressful
~ new sweaters!
~ getting even more clutter cleared from/in my desk
Day 25 ~ January 27th, 2017
Not as nice out today and the day also seems to be moving very slowly… *sigh* At least it isn’t raining or snowing though so that is a silver lining!
My son was trying to do Yoga poses on the mat this morning. It was so cute! I got down and did Downward Facing Dog, Cobra, Forward Fold, Plank, and Root to Rise with him after watching him try on his own.
I’ve only started doing yoga since the beginning of the new year so it’s cool see him taking an interest in something I am doing fitness-wise that he could benefit from too!!
Registered for five 10k races starting in April and carrying on until October of this year. I am so excited!! I wasn’t all that certain what, or if, I would be doing any this year, but that was an amazing deal! I’m looking forward to getting my overall 10km time dwindled down by the summer 😀
Things that I am grateful for today:
~ I didn’t have to do the dishes today (thanks Hulkhands!)
~ the Factoring unit for Pre-Calc actually seems to make sense this time around
~ I found a torrent of BTS’ HYYH Epilogue Concert so I can watch it!
~ not needing an electric mixer to do any baking
~ short finger nails
Cheers ~ ✌
Day 20 ~ January 11th, 2017
I hope I am getting to the last stages of this damn cold as my dry cough seems to have transitioned to a wet cough. It is my preferred of the two as a dry cough just friggin’ hurts!! Neither one is awesome though as it makes it so tough to get any sleep… Only a few hours last night, I’ve been up since 4AM and before that I was up at 1AM for about 45 minutes. I tried to get a small nap in later this morning, but it just wasn’t happening.
Minor surgery happened two days ago and now waiting on some more test results from that and hopefully good news! Yesterday was the worst so far for soreness/pain, but it thankfully hasn’t been too bad overall. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed afterwards and I’m glad that isn’t the case.
The part that sucks the most is that I can’t do any running for 2 weeks… My poor knees and back are starting to hurt more and more without that aspect to my fitness. I’m hoping to try some light jogging next week either at the track or just some indoor laps at home.
Continuing on with parts of my challenges and I’ll play catch up later in the month and carrying on with the weight program for this month too. If I need to I will lower my weights a bit, but I am not putting it on hold. I am going to try to keep on top of the daily Yoga Revolution as well as that makes me feel equal parts amazing and sore. Completed Day 10 this morning and it was quite relaxing today.
I might try to get some Pre-Calc done this evening I guess… I don’t really want to still not a fan of Math, but I should do it regardless right 🙂
Cheers ~ ✌
