Day 63 ~ body weight split and random awesome

Day 63 ~ January 9th, 2018

Today’s Calendar Word: dight ~ to clothe or equip
Today’s Calendar Quote:How wonderful! How wonderful! The inanimate expounding the Dharma. What an ineffable truth!” — Tung-shan

Energy-wise it was an extremely slow morning. I couldn’t get my ‘get-up-and-go’ going a hundred percent until much later in the afternoon. I nearly opted to do groceries a different day, but I knew that would just make me frazzled as far as time goes so I didn’t choose that route. I am so glad I didn’t because I saw a co-worker from my old job at the grocery store and I hadn’t seen him in a couple of years. Turns out he is about to leave the same place as well for partly the same reason I did, but it’s now a thousand times worse than when I left about 4 years ago. Considering how much it is stressing him out, I am so glad to hear he is cutting himself loose and I know he’ll find something better if he chooses to find other work.

He is easily one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met and I was so glad to run into him randomly this afternoon!

Day 53 ~ conversational momentum

Day 53 ~ December 30th, 2017

A day of getting a ton of workout stuff organized with the new year just about here. I’ll finish up Roadwork in the first two weeks of January and then move right into the RPG fitness program from Darebee called Carbon and Dust. I am looking forward it, but I also don’t really know what to expect from it so I guess I’ll see how that all goes. Normally we get a small preview around a week before the release date so I’m hoping that will be the case with this one too. In any case it is supposed to be even more interactive than their last one so it’s going to be sweet ~ ~ ~ !

Day 40 ~ annual snowball burpees

Day 40 ~ December 17th, 2017

Well, I completely forgot about this day… so anyway… at least I did my question!

And the Snow Fight! at The Hive via Darebee.com starts today as well. Bring on the burpees!!

Today’s Question: What one thing would you change about are society?

What parenting has become these days, it’s atrocious – either so un-involved or over board to the extreme, or the “me first” mentality. Though the latter would likely be ‘curbed’ if the former was handled correctly or better than it is by many.

Cheers ~ ✌

Day 33 ~ new skills!

Day 33 ~ December 10th, 2017

My elbow is hurting today, or I should say it started last night, after attempting to do a human wall with my brother. I get close to scrambling back from under and then plop on my back… I just gotta get where I should let go with leg and grab next with my arm under wraps and then I’ll be able to do it. And I don’t think I mentioned this yet, but I can do an elevated elbow lever *fist pump* (can see it on Instagram) I’ve practiced up on my elbows, just holding the weight on them, since the summer and I can finally get my body not only up, but straight out too!

Day 29 ~ where change began

Day 29 ~ December 6th, 2017

I got some CBD tincture for myself this week and that is the ticket for an uninterrupted sleep at night and more than a handful of hours as well. I am glad I was able to get it even if I’ll only use it a few times a week. I sleep extremely heavy, like through earthquakes heavy, so I don’t like the idea of possibly not hearing my son in the middle of the night. Not that, that actually happens often at all, but I like to be ready.

Day 28 ~ air ninja

Day 28 ~ December 5th, 2017

This was something that I wanted to mention yesterday, but I totally forgot until I was lying in bed of course!
I can windshield wipers on the pull-up bar and gym rings. I tried them the day before yesterday, just to see if I could do them (and they are a part of workout I want to try), and I can totally do them!! *happy dance* Obviously, I can do more on the bar than on the rings, but I am so jazzed that I can do them at all! I did a bunch yesterday and my obliques are ache-y this morning and I love it!
