Title: The Fallen 2: Aerie & Reckoning
Author: Thomas E. Sniegoski
Rating Out of Five: 4
In some ways I think that this is a great series for teens, but in others not so much. The series itself is very dark and there are several parts that were extremely sad.
In this book, he (Aaron) finds his kidnapped younger brother, Stevie, from the first book. But he’s been changed into something else, no longer a child, and is now hellbent on killing the nephilim abominations, especially Aaron. By the end of the story Aaron is forced to do something that he really doesn’t want to do. There are some interesting turn of events in these two parts of the story that I really, really liked as well.
The series was originally only four parts, re-released into two books with two parts in each book. The author has just recently released a part five to this series so it’s not quite finished yet. So it’ll be interesting to see what else that he wanted to add to the story that hadn’t been written as part of the series to begin with.
Title: Something Borrowed

Rachel White, the responsible, good girl and best friend (and maid of honour) to Darcy. She’s always been the sidekick in this duo but everything changes on her 30th birthday when she confesses her feelings to Darcy’s fiancé, Dex. Surprisingly they find out that they share the same feelings and events spiral out of control more and more as the wedding day gets closer.
A good, real story about the very blurry lines between right and wrong sometimes and whether you should listen to your heart or your conscience. And that sometimes, endings are not always happy and neat.
Title: Trial By Fire (Raised by Wolves – Bk 2)
Author: Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Rating Out of Five: 1.5
The second book in this series and I was quite disappointed. I had really expect something a little different and, well, just more to it.
I felt like there was excess drama created only so that there could be a third book in this story (which there will be). I don’t like it when authors do that. There was too much ‘side stuff’ going on away from the main plot, which I find really annoying and pointless.
I was actually looking forward to this series as I thought it had a lot of potential. Unfortunately it seems that it will be heading in the opposite direction entirely. I won’t be continuing this series any longer.
